ProfitBricks Appoints William Toll Vice President of Marketing and Clint Miller Vice President of Sales
ProfitBricks, the cloud computing Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider that has completely reengineered the delivery of cloud computing, announced today the appointment of web hosting and Internet infrastructure industry veteran William Toll as Vice President of Marketing and Clint Miller as Vice President of Sales.
Boston, 08/02/2012 – Toll brings more than fifteen years of direct experience to the role. As the vice president of marketing at ProfitBricks, Toll will oversee the company’s North American marketing programs. Miller will leverage his twenty-five years of sales experience at hosting, content delivery and infrastructure technology companies to lead the North and South American sales team.
“Clint and William are exceptionally well respected throughout the Internet Services industry,” said Bob Rizika, chief executive officer, ProfitBricks US. “We’re delighted to have their hard-earned expertise guiding the launch of what we believe is game changing among cloud service providers.”
Prior to ProfitBricks, Toll held senior marketing positions at industry leading network infrastructure and web hosting providers including NaviSite, Yottaa and Intermedia.net. While in those roles, Toll successfully launched and marketed new Internet infrastructure services, SaaS services and partnerships which generated recurring revenues of over $25 million. He also held product management leadership positions at NTT/Verio and ValueWeb where he and his teams defined and launched innovative products and services that grew average revenue per user by over 45%. Toll received a bachelor of arts in marketing from New England College.
“ProfitBricks is the first true second-generation cloud company,” said William Toll, vice president of marketing, ProfitBricks US. “I’m very fortunate to become part of this forward-thinking team, the same team that built 1 & 1 Internet into a global powerhouse. If you look under the hood today, after two years of engineering from the ground up, you’ll see class leading compute, storage and networking architectures which enable more flexibility, and greater performance at lower price points than anything available in the cloud IaaS market today. It’s a real breakthrough.”
Throughout his career, Miller has lead sales teams for some of the technology industry’s most disruptive companies. Before joining ProfitBricks, he served as Global Crossing’s carrier sales manager, responsible for maintaining and growing core data services in the carrier and wholesale market. At Blackwave, one of the first companies to build scalable video infrastructure solutions, he was responsible for overseeing US sales as the company’s vice president of US sales. Previously, he acquired new managed hosting clients and negotiated contracts globally for Digital Island and AT&T.
“The introduction of ProfitBricks’ IaaS offering has turned the industry on its head, and that is reflected in the build out of the company’s sales team,” said Clint Miller, vice president of sales, ProfitBricks US. “I’m thrilled to become a part of a company that is trailblazing the evolution of cloud computing with Cloud IaaS 2.0 solutions.
